This is Ankayi began with a simple love for cloth that carries the mark of the hand. Every fabric we sell is 100% organic cotton, hand block printed by artisans in India and cut to order by the metre.
Printed one block at a time
Each motif, from our Indian roses to our heart paisleys, is carved into a wooden block and stamped onto the cloth by hand, row after row. No two metres are ever quite identical. Small shifts in colour and print are not flaws; they are the signature of the person who made it.

Why organic cotton
We chose organic cotton because it is soft, breathable and kind to wear through Indian summers. It is cloth meant to be lived in, washed and loved for years.
